Junior doctors in the State who went on strike for 11 days to demand better security at government medical colleges and hospitals, resumed their elective and emergency duties at all the 11 government medical colleges on Friday.
This follows after Supreme Court’s assurance and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu saying he would make amendment to Act 11 of 2008 imposing up to seven years of imprisonment for any person attacking a doctor.
“Officials will have to tell us what they say,” according to a source from AP Junior Doctors Association.
