Report: Junaid Khan is shooting a romantic comedy for three weeks in Mumbai opposite Khushi Kapoor. Jounaid will make his debut this year as an actor, son of famous Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. After it was announced that his historical drama Maharaj will be available on Netflix starting June 14th, the media has reported the commencement of the next production by this budding artist; which is yet to be named. This movie will be Advait Chandan’s first attempt at Romantic Comedy since he directed Secret Superstar and Laal Singh Chaddha and will see him pair up with Khushi Kapoor, daughter of late Sridevi.
According to reports from Mid-day, sources revealed that on Monday shooting had commenced in Mira Road, Mumbai. The director Chandan moved forward the original June schedule to accommodate Junaid promotional activities for Maharaj in July.
This film is said to be a remake of 2022 Tamil film Love Today which starred and was directed by Pradeep Ranganathan. The Hindi version is being produced by Shristi Behl and Phantom Films; they have been behind multiple critically acclaimed films such as Queen, Masaan, Udta Punjab etc., notably marking their comeback after a hiatus.
Firstly there will be three weeks’ work in Bombay with the Seven Eleven Club banquet hall located in Mira Road serving as the main spot for initial days. They plan outdoor filming completion prior monsoon season setting in around mid-June.
Based on reports from insiders cited by India Today, Aamir Khan was very instrumental during preproduction of this movie but he would now fly down to Delhi this week to complete shooting on his own upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par.
