Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, is set to step into the film industry this year that was being eagerly awaited. Just after announcing Maharaj, his historical drama that will soon be out on Netflix, Junaid is already working on a nameless romantic comedy which he will be the lead actor of. The director of this film is Advait Chandan who has won acclaim for Secret Superstar and Laal Singh Chaddha among others; in it, Junaid ventures into the rom-com genre opposite Khushi Kapoor whose parents are Sridevi and Boney Kapoor.
The first few days of shooting were done at Seven Eleven Club banquet hall in Mira Road Mumbai as reported by Hindustan Times. All outdoor filming should be over by mid-June to avoid disruptions associated with monsoon rains. And most recently Delhi-NCR region is where production has been moved for its second shoot schedule beginning three or four days ago. The team plans to stay on in Delhi for another 10-12 days.
“The first leg of the shoot wrapped up in Mumbai and now the duo is filming in the Capital,” said a source close to the production. While some members of the supporting cast have joined only when needed, Junaid and Khushi are expected to be present throughout this schedule.” Moreover, according to our source at Bollywood Hungama, it’s a yet-to-be-titled movie with an announced release window.
The romantic sequences involving Junaid and Khushi form major part of Delhi’s programme “Mostly shoots taking place during daytime since there haven’t been any night schedules so far especially for this matter.” He further added “there will be both indoors and outdoors shoots over next couple days,” told one insider from Bollywood Hungama. Shooting locations keep changing within Delhi from Noida to Greater Noida – different parts of Delhi.
While discussing about several spots for shooting scenes, one more person stated, “For example, the team has plans to shoot around Noida sector 30, Sunder Nursery and CP.” They will be traveling from one place to another most of the time while filming. The college ambiance will also be replicated in some scenes that are going to be shot in one of the universities and hostels within Noida.”
This is an upcoming Hindi film based on a Tamil hit of 2022 called Love Today which was directed by Pradeep Ranganathan himself. Shristi Behl and Phantom Films have produced the Hindi remake. Worth noting is that this project marks Phantom Film’s return into production after a long time interval.
