Joe Rogan’s new Netflix special on podcasting has come under heavy criticism from the left which called it “weird,” unfunny and “stupid” after he mocked transgenderism and expressed doubt about Covid 19 vaccines.
Joe Rogan’s performance was criticized by Wajahat Ali, a columnist for Daily Beast who said, “ I mean at least be funny if you’re being ignorant and offensive.” Furthermore, he added that “cults” may appreciate the special but the comedic is ‘making too many smart people stupid.’ A representative of Project Liberal; Joshua Reed Eakle warned against falling prey to ‘red pill’ rabbit hole as it ‘rots your brain.’
According to Fox News, during his new Netflix special, Rogan defended his controversial opinions on COVID-19 vaccinations that were initially shared in one of his popular podcasts. This show with the title “Burn the Boats” premiered on Netflix last Saturday.
One particular segment that drew the ire of the left involved Joe Rogan questioning society’s acceptance of biological men who identify as transgender women.
Joe Rogan mentioned that America has gone too far in accepting trans people during his stand-up show
“I want to be very clear,” stated Rogan. “I believe in trans people.” He further went on to say that “the world is strange and nature is strange, and nature can throw you a curveball and you believe you are in the wrong body.” Supporting an adult’s decision to do whatever pleases them most was also voiced out by him because he believes so much in freedom plus love. But then again accepted there were “some crazy people.”
“I’m open-minded,” he continued. “I just want to know what happened.” It sounds like some sort of magic-wielding pervert suddenly turned all humanity into zombies by casting a spell or something similar. Just wave this wand around and voila! You can walk in hard into ladies’ locker rooms and call anyone who complains a Nazi. Abracadabra!” And it works.”
This “new reality,” as Joe Rogan puts it, is “weird” – putting on lipstick doesn’t mean someone should have access to women’s restrooms. The comments have sparked an intense debate with many in the left calling them offensive and ignorant.
It was state by Rogan that he is not even remotely homophobic and even add, “I’m its opposite. I wish I were gay.”
In his Netflix special “Burn the Boats”, Joe Rogan had talked about vaccine skepticism of Covid-19 and admitted that he may have spread misinformation regarding this but he did not care.
According to New York Post, he said: “Before COVID, I would have told you that vaccines are the most important invention in human history. After COVID, I’m like, ‘I don’t think we went to the moon. I think Michelle Obama’s got a dick. And I think Pizzagate is real. I think there’s direct energy weapons in Antarctica,’ ”.
Joe Rogan finished with: “I’m just kidding — I don’t think Michelle Obama’s got a dick, but I believe all of that other s–t.”
“Here’s my take on that, sincerely: If you’re getting your vaccine advice from me, is that really my fault?” he said.“That’s not my job, kids. I’m a professional s–t-talker. Some of the things I say make sense. A lot of them don’t. It’s up to you to figure out what’s what. That’s the fun part.”
