The first lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden declared that in spite of age and health related concerns, President Joe Biden is well prepared for a second term in office. In Reno, Nevada on Friday while talking to seniors Jill Biden urged them to vote against the repetition of 2016. The president then did not know where he was during a Juneteenth celebration and looked confused at G7 summit held recently in Italy.
Jill Biden said “We cannot wake up on November 6 like we did in 2016 terrified of the future ahead of us.”. Nevada has around 600000 senior citizens who represent almost one third (1/3) among other things, being one third (1/3) amongst other things as it has been estimated that there are about three people out of ten living there who are eligible voters. Polls taken recently show that it is still a close race as Trump leads Biden by five points and he is currently almost leading by five points. Previously, Trump lost this state to Biden during his election re-election bid.
Jill Biden returned home from Europe earlier this week to be present at her son Hunter’s trial which ended with him being convicted on felony gun charges. She also began a tour called “Seniors for Biden-Harris” with events such as bingo and pickleball held in Green Bay, Wisconsin and Duluth Minnesota aimed at motivating aged Americans towards voting through rallies and phone banks. By doing so, it would rally support behind joe biden who would be 86 years by the time his second term comes to an end.
While speaking in Reno, Jill Biden told the audience “Joe Biden is a healthy, wise, 81-year-old, ready and willing to get to work every day to make our future better.” This message was also echoed in Duluth during her speech. She commended him for “being one of the most effective presidents in our lifetime despite his age,” Jill Biden told a crowd gathered at Reno.
In contrast, Jane Fonda who is seventy nine (79) years old and an activist introduced Jill Biden. After all Trump’s name calling she said “a convicted felon who wouldn’t even qualify for a security clearance for God’s sakes, we absolutely cannot get him again.” Fonda whose controversial trip to Hanoi during Vietnam led many people including Americans opposed to communism has concerns about how forests are unprotected with no trees blocking sun- So it becomes very bad as houses are so exposed to just unrelenting sun and there are no solar panels or tree shielding in Reno. She noted that outdoor workers may die of heat stroke due to temperatures exceeding 110 degrees.
Trump invited all the executives of the big oil companies and he sat down and looked them straight in the eye and he said ‘If you give me $1 billion I will kill all the regulations’ . According to Fonda Trump invited all top executives of oil companies accusing him of saying “If you give me one billion dollars I’ll do away with every regulation that you don’t like about the environment; I’ll kill off EPA.”
