Dushyant Chautala, the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) leader addressed the press in Hisar on May 9.
In response to the same, former BJP ally and one of the founders of Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), Dushyant Chautala, urged Congress to field a common candidate for Rajya Sabha election from Haryana and JJP will extend its support.
Moreover, he mentioned that an association with the ruling party is not possible either before or after forthcoming assembly polls which are due later this year.
Following Deepender Singh Hooda’s victory as Rohtak Lok Sabha MP in recent elections conducted across India, there are now vacant seats at Upper House level in Parliament.
‘Match-fixing’
He alleged that both Congress and BJP parties were fooling people. “Congress is avoiding participating in Haryana’s Rajya Sabha elections. Former CM Bhupinder Hooda saying they don’t have the numbers smacks of ‘match fixing’ with BJP. If Congress really wants fight against BJP then they should put up a combined opposition Rajya Sabha candidate. We ready to help them. The opposition needs a social person like a sportsman or artist to represent Haryana in the Rajya Sabha,” he said during a press conference today.
Upon realizing that it suffered losses while contesting jointly with BJP, Chautala pointed out that “there is no reason why JJP should continue with BJP” Adding “BJP was angry on farmers’ movement and also public was angry. And we got our share.”
The party will go through feedback from workers from all districts including its 22 headquarter district offices and commence preparations for assembly polls set to take place shortly after local body results are announced by State Election Commission.
While criticizing the government of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chautala remarked that “the situation of law and order is deteriorating rapidly in the State due to government’s failure”. He said that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who also has Home Ministry, had failed to control the law and order, and demanded the Chief Minister transfer the department to some other minister.
