Jayanti Bhatia played the part of Manisha Koirala in the film Constitution:Diamond Bazaar’. A well-known actress on TV, she is not sure if she is wanted in this drama or not; but Jetendra who made it pushed her into acting.
In a chat with Pinkvilla, Jayanti talks about how her character has been received. In fact, there isn’t a lot of footage of her in the trailer so she does not know where to fit herself in the series. It was a major role while shooting though; depending on what happens afterwards.
Furthermore, she added that her fans and family were excited to see her performing onscreen but after watching the trailer, she got apprehensive. She was quite relieved when she watched first two episodes where Pato appeared.

She let us know how Jeetendra’s words made sense again after watching that episode.Then it was 28 years ago; the actress has worked for Jeetendra Ekta Kapoor’s program’ithas’. Then he praised her work by saying “Ishq, Mushq aur Talent, chupaye nahi chupta” (Love, fragrance and talent cannot be hidden forever). During this period when Heeramandi was being showered with love and praise these words hit back at her mind.
She had not expected any reaction considering that she did not see herself as an actor in the trailer. These responses were such great blessings and shockers for me.she went onto say that some of my fellow actors from television industry also liked me and tagged me in their favorite scenes. Jayati feels happy that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is working along side him.
Earlier Jayanti spoke about sharing screen space with Manisha Koirala. Even though they are contemporaries still this actress has always been ahead of her. She said how she was inspired by Manisha and honored to be able to say that about her.
