Last month, the popular Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx revealed some information about his mysterious hospitalization which took place in April last year. It started with a very severe headache and he doesn’t remember anything that happened after.
While talking to fans outside a restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona, the performer disclosed the little snippets of memory he had retained about his protracted admission due to an illness.
According to Foxx, on April 11 this ordeal began when he had a bad headache and asked his friend for Advil. “I was gone for maybe 20 days,” he said. Acting as her dad’s spokesperson, Corinne Foxx initially told the public concerning his hospitalization on April 12th as she stated that he was recovering from a medical condition but without further details.
Foxx confessed that there is nothing left in his memory about what happened next after asking for Advil. He says that one day his sister and daughter brought him to an Atlanta based doctor who gave him cortisone shot; however, it only drew attention of another physician towards him later. “Something’s going on up there,” recollected Foxx of the doctor at whom he refrained to disclose the ailment treated.
“It’s tough when it’s almost over … when you see the tunnel … I wouldn’t wish what I went through on my worst enemy. I saw the tunnel — I didn’t see the light,” said Foxx.
Foxx appreciated those who supported and prayed for him while recovering from this ordeal. In an Instagram post filled with emotions, he shared “I went through something that I thought I would never ever go through again. A lot of people were waiting or wanting updates and honestly – I just didn’t want you to see me like that.”
His representatives have not commented further on his health issues. Nevertheless, since then, Jamie has gradually returned back into public life with support from those closest to him. He stressed living life to the fullest and his own experience of being on the verge of death shaped this attitude.
