On Saturday, the leader of YSRCP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called upon the people of Pithapuram assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh to vote for his party’s candidate V Geetha and reject her opponent Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan.
He went on to say that if his party comes back to power, then Geeta will be appointed the deputy chief minister. The incumbent chairman of the ruling party maintained that Kalyan was not available and could not be found in the constituency. Even if he had flu, he would rush to Hyderabad.
Speaking on the last day of campaign at a public meeting Reddy said:” How can women encounter the habit of changing wives every five years like people change cars?” He trusted Geetha as his CM and said she would bring development in the area.
Reddy claimed for first time ever 99% of promises made by YSRCP have been kept in Andhra Pradesh history.
Also, he accused TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu of “sadistic pleasure” in delaying doorstep disbursement of monthly pension, disbursement of funds for other ongoing welfare schemes for which he “has pressed this button”.
Further, Reddy stated that a misinformation propaganda against Land Title Bill aimed at safeguarding rights over land by Naidu and his friendly media organizations has been launched.
Therefore, he urged electorates to reject TDP alongside its partner BJP as well as Janasena and give ruling party clear mandate on continuing with welfare programmes and developmental policies.
This came after YSRCP president concluded his 2024 election campaigns including bus tours across the state covering all 106 assembly constituencies campaigning polemic meetings sixteen siddham (readiness) meetings road shows among others on Saturday. On May Thirteenth simultaneous elections will be held for twenty-five Lok Sabha seats or one hundred seventy-five Parliamentary constituencies in the southern state.
