On Sunday, Joe Biden decided to end his presidential campaign and internet users sent him off with mixed memes. He endorsed Kamala Harris, an Indian-origin for the vice presidency. However “it’s Joever” memes have reached a saturation point in social media, but the “Kamencing” meme has hardly just started.
Biden’s move followed his testing positive for Covid 19 and deteriorating health condition. He was also criticized for underperforming in US presidential debate against Trump.
Amidst indications that at least two other contestants may come up, Kamala Harris has reiterated her commitment to vie for a Democratic Party nomination for president.
“We’re Barack, It’s Joever”
“It’s literally joever but i don’t think we’ve ever been more barack,” wrote a user with an image featuring Obama looking happy while Biden seemed upset.
Another X user tried to kill the meme by writing, “We gotta retire It’s Joever after this I think. We have achieved the full flowering of Joever. It will never be more Joever than it is right now and we would be fools to chase the fading afterimage.”
‘Biden drops out, endorses LDR’
Biden tripping over his speech was lampooned by many satirical news websites due to his advanced age.
“The Savala Vada” posted “Biden drops out of race, endorses LDR”.
“Biden flubs exit speech”, claimed another parody website self-styled as “America’s finest news source”, posting its front page headline..
Joe retorted in a subhead “I will rule the country with an iron fist for one thousand years”.
‘Political analyst cries on air over Biden dropping out news: I just know that I love this man’.
Van Jones, a political analyst could hardly hold back tears while discussing how Joe Biden had abandoned his campaign during live TV broadcast.
He said, “He’s fighting and he’s fighting and everybody’s so frustrated. And then you finally get the keys back. And then you just cry.”
“I don’t know anything about politics. I just know that I love this man, I care about this man,” he added.
