Some actors have come out to say that casting couch exists whereas others have denied it. Isha Koppikar is one of the celebrities who came forward to reveal this happening to her in the past. Recently, she said at the age of 18 she was approach for casting couch and instructed on how to be ‘cordial’ with people in the industry.
Isha Koppikar discloses “traumatic” experience upon turning 18
While being interviewed by NDTV India, Isha Koppikar mention this as well when she said: “A secretary and an actor approached me for casting couch when I was 18. They informed me that you must be ‘friendly’ with actors if you want some work. I am very friendly, but what does ‘friendly’ mean? I am so friendly that Ekta Kapoor once told me to have some attitude.”

In one of her old interviews a few years ago, Isha Koppikar revealed how a hero had invited her without informing any other person from her staffs about it. In this interview, she recounted the same story again saying; “One actor asked me to meet him alone when he was 23 because there were rumours around him and other actresses. He told me, ‘There are already controversies about me, and the staff spreads rumours.’ But I refused and told him that I couldn’t come alone. He was an A-list actor from Hindi film industry.”
