Let’s Move Initiative Partners with Prajakta Koli of the International Olympic Committee For Marathon Pour Tous at 2024 Paris Olympics
This can be seen in the fact that she will run a unique night marathon known as Marathon Pour Tous during the Olympic Games on August 10th, 2024 that is quite noteworthy. Closest to this, the 10 km run confirms her position as India’s first-ever content creator and the only non-sporting Indian celebrity partnering with IOC in 2021.
Paris Olympics: International Olympic Committee Enlists Prajakta Koli for Let’s Move Initiative and Marathon Pour Tous.
Koli has a tremendous following on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter where more than seventeen million people follow her. This is why she is taking advantage of her digital channel ‘Mostly Sane’ which is well recognized by many because of its engaging content. Through this outstanding partnership, sportsmanship, sustainability and equality will be promoted among other themes associated with global athletes who compete in major games.
Prajakta Koli talks about her excitement after starring in External Affairs play when she says, “I am overjoyed to have my name linked to these International Olympics; it feels like I am walking on clouds. The games are all about human effort reaching its ultimate peak and striving for greatness.
I am going to use my platform via online presence to document my journey and inspire young Indians towards healthful living through sport especially kids like me across India that are still in the process or developing their own identity.” What does “It is time to move more, every day, anywhere anyhow” mean?
In addition to being an influencer for Let’s Move Olympic initiative launched last year together with WHO (World Health Organization), Koli becomes part of this unique partnership. It emphasizes how important it is to engage in physical activities since they help us stay healthy both mentally and physically.
During the Olympic Games, there will be a mass participation running event known as The Marathon Pour Tous (Marathon For All) that will involve thousands of people running through the streets of Paris for the first time in Olympics’ history.
Through this partnership, we can see that IOC is making efforts to reach out to young population and popularize Olympics in India, which has an emerging fan base for sports. Besides, Let’s Move as well as Celebrate also fits within Olympism 365 priority area “Sport, Health and Active Communities” where the aim is to have more people from diverse backgrounds benefiting mentally and physically by participating in physical activities or sports.
