An Indian-American shot two females from Punjab in Roosevelt Avenue Cartaret, New Jersey. In the morning of Wednesday, the shooting happened outside a house and caused the death of one woman while the other is currently in critical condition.

US media reveals that the suspect who has been handed over to law enforcement agencies is Gaurav Gill (19) facing murder charges.

On June 14, The Consulate General of India revealed this information on X , formerly known as Twitter and named them as Jasvir Kaur and Gagandeep Kaur as victims expressing their sorrow over devastating incidence.

“Deeply saddened to learn of the tragic demise of Ms. Jasvir Kaur and injuries to Ms. Gagandeep Kaur in a shooting on Roosevelt Av, Cartaret, New Jersey. We offer our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased,” The Consulate General of India in New York wrote on X .

Afterward, both women were flown to a hospital via chopper; unfortunately for Jasvir though she did not make it because her injuries where too severe.
