The World Elephant Day is celebrated on August 12th, which although not a holiday, is dedicated to the preservation of elephants, the world’s largest living mammals.
He said that India will do everything possible to provide favorable conditions for elephants in order to preserve their habitat while speaking about the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (August 12, 2024).
India’s Prime Minister, Mr. Modi wrote on X (formerly Twitter) as a tribute to World Elephant Day and claimed it as an occasion when various communities had come together with efforts directed at protecting them.
“Our commitment remains unchanged; we shall continue doing whatever it takes to offer conducive environments for these animals,” he stated. “The elephant has been part of our history and culture for Indians.” That is why it is encouraging that their numbers have grown over the past few years.
“This day marks how far an entire community can go when it comes to saving elephants. But at the same time our solidarity is only strengthen with this issue: whatever happens we are in charge of ensuring that there is a suitable environment for them.”
