A day following the interim bail of Delhi Chief Minister from Tihar jail, Arvind Kejriwal stated that if BJP comes back to power Yogi Adityanath would not be the chief minister of UP.
At a press conference in New Delhi, AAP national convener said this was part of PM’s One Nation, One Leader ploy to arrest all opposition leaders and senior officials.
Kejriwal accused PM Narendra Modi of paving way for Amit Shah to become the next Prime Minister. “These guys are demanding an Indian group face. I asked BJP who will be their prime minister? On September 17th next year, Modi will turn 75. He made a rule that people should retire when they reach 75 years old. They retired LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sumitra Mahajan.
Therefore he (the CM) has said he was retiring next year because he felt it was important for India’s voters to have a choice on whether or not Amit Shah would be their next premier. “Will Shah fulfill Modi’s assurances?” he asked.
The ruling party leader alleged that saffron camp is sidelining its veterans such as LK Advani and MM Joshi.
“Politics of LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi former BJP chief ministers Shivraj Singh Chauhan Vasundhara Raje ML Khattar Raman Singh are over now Next is Yogi Adityanath These will change chief ministers within two months after getting elected,” said the party boss
He also cautioned Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee among others from the opposition that they would go to jail if National Development Alliance led by BJP comes into power after Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
“They will put opposition leaders behind bars and finish them (nipta denge).…hemant Soren (ex Jharkhand CM), Mamata Banerjee’s party (Trinamool) Congress party) ministers are in jail… If they (BJP) win again then Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Chief Minister Pinaray Vijayan Uddhav Thackeray (UBT Chairman) and other opposition The leaders will be jailed,” the AAP national convener said.
Speaking against BJP, he argued that the party has included all “thieves and bandits” in it. “This is not a fight against corruption… You put all thieves in your party but you put Kejriwal in jail because by jailing Kejriwal they are trying to convey a message that if Kejriwal goes to jail anybody can go to jail Bhai.” He added that this mission is called “One Nation, One Leader”.
The Prime Minister was accused of “leaving no stone unturned” to crush AAP and send its four top leaders behind bars.
Kejriwal got interim bail from the Supreme Court on Friday It was only on June 1st that he walked out of prison after almost two months of detention by the Directorate of Enforcement for an excise duty policy-related money-laundering case.
Important to note is the fact that he surrendered himself on June 2nd just two days before the results were announced. During this time, he will not discharge his duties as Chief Minister.
