There are growing concerns from his fellow Democrats about the mental health of US President Joe Biden and he has said that he would be ready to undergo a neurological examination if advised by his doctors. Biden told the reporters at a solo news conference held during the Nato Summit, “I am not opposed, if my doctors tell me I should have another neurological exam, I’ll do it.”
According to him, he is never far from learned medics who would know if something was wrong.
The president expressed irritation with what seems like an obsession with his age, stating: “You know what? Nothing’s gonna make them happy.” He says he has had three brain health checks since taking office including one as recent as February. In this light, Biden suggested that being older brings wisdom and that any age related changes are daily tested through his decision-making capacity in terms of neurological ability.
But on Thursday while talking to journalists he insisted on running again for the presidency after democratic colleagues pressured him to pull out. However, there must be some consideration given to addressing critics’ apprehensions about his suitability for office as an aftermath of a difficult debate.
The president showed how many major events were attended by him which happened across different states due to which people should believe in him and go ahead and vote for him.
