On Tuesday, 16 July 2024, the Tamil Nadu government announced Dheeraj Kumar as its Home Secretary in place of P. Amudha. She is posted as the Secretary to Revenue and Disaster Management Department. J. Radhakrishnan has been replaced by J. Kumaragurubaran as Commissioner of Greater Chennai Corporation.

Mr.Radhakrishnan replaces K. Gopal in the office of Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection Department; themanaging directorate also reshuffled other officers so that S.Madumathi becomes the new School Education Secretary replacing Shiv Das Meena’s orders. Presently he is one among many other secretaries such as those of Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries-Fishermen Welfare Department where Mr.Gopal has been posted.

Har Sahay Meena became secretary of special initiatives while Information Technology and Digital Services Department received a new secretary by name Kumar Jayant while at Labour Welfare and Skill Development department, K.Veera Raghava Rao started his work.

New Collectors

The State government named new Collectors for 10 districts.They include: J.U. Chandrakala was posted Ranipet Collector; Pudukkottai Collector was taken over by M.Aruna whereas Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru becomes Nilgiris collector. Besides, Priyanka B. was appointed Thanjavur Collector whereas Nagapattinam Collegtorship went to P.Akash and Ariyalur Collectorship went to P.Rathinasamy. Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar took over Cuddalore Collecorship while R.Alagumeena is now Kanniyakumari Collector.

Perambalur Collector was appointed Grace Lalrindiki Pachuau but Simranjeet Singh Kahlon got Ramanathapuram Collector. Narnaware Manish Shankarrao will be the next Commissioner of Erode Corporation and J. Vijaya Rani is set to take over as Joint Commissioner (Education) of Greater Chennai Corporation while S. Balachander would assume office as Commissioner of Tambaram Corporation.

The Tamil Development and Information Department got V. Rajaraman whereas S. Suresh Kumar was posted in the Backward Classes, MBC & Minorities Welfare Department; C.A.Rishab became Deputy Secretary in Finance Department but B.Vishnu Chandran became Deputy Secretary in Public Department. Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department reported a new Joint Secretary, S.Valarmathi.

J.Anne Mary Swarna was appointed joint secretary in Home, Prohibition and Excise Department while Sravan Kumar Jatavath, who until recently was Kallakurichi Collector, is now Joint Secretary in Housing and Urban Development Department.
