It was observed that most parts of Hyderabad, including the outskirts of the city, received intense downpour on the evening of Friday, September 20th 2024, thereby causing several areas to be flooded, which especially affected accessibility within the city. A significant amount of rainfall caused water logging phenomena in numerous parts of the city and consequently, prompt action from the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection agencies (HYDRAA) DRF teams and traffic policemen to drain the flooded areas to manage traffic was required.
