Himachal Pradesh government with an aim to build a sense of nationhood among students has resolved to play national anthem during the morning assembly of all schools in Himachal Pradesh.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has said that by this decision, his administration is determined to sow patriotism into young people’s hearts and minds as well as foster unity, loyalty, and responsibility because they would be responsible for building up a unified nation. “In Shimla it has been also decided that national flags will fly high daily at all High and Senior Secondary Schools,” he added.
Mr. Sukhu said the Congress Government had introduced different changes in the education system after coming to power and this particular move was part of their overall attempts to reform education in the state.“The physical health of our children is also being improved through mandatory yoga and physical education which are now subjects on school curriculum and thus making students exercise at least 15 minutes every day within all schools,” he stated.
He told reporters that if there were no teacher specially employed for teaching physical training then other teachers must take over as long as they are available during the period, while urging teachers handling sports activities never to compromise on quality standard thereby ensuring total student participation.
“CPR training will be given together with first aid courses through collaboration with Health and Ayush Departments so that students can learn basic life-saving techniques. These measures demonstrate not only a commitment towards providing comprehensive instruction but instructing them how to live right; improve health fitness for academic excellence self-esteem love human body respect national identity civic consciousness.” The CM explains his thought on these confirmation plans Nationalism is the driving force behind this initiative which seeks a more united future generation.” He concluded.
