A lot of people in the region, who spoke with The Hindu, claim that being elected at a tender age without going through rigorous political campaigns and thereby enjoying unlimited access to power made Prajwal Revanna engage in crimes he is currently accused of.

The young parliamentarian did hardly anything expected of an elected representative by residents who have followed the political careers of H.D. On May 20th, when drivers of taxis and acquaintances of passengers headed towards passenger terminals saw a weighty ‘stay and overstay charge’ affixed on arrival lounge doors at KIA, they were surprised. The fee was introduced without any prior notice on May 20th.
