The Meteorological Department has informed that normal weather conditions are likely to prevail for the next two days and it has also forecast that after September 15, some areas in Madhya Pradesh may experience heavy rainfall again.

A regional meteorologist explained the reason of decreased rainfall in the State, which was due to the weather system that was active in the State moving toward South West Uttar Pradesh.

“A system which was active in Madhya Pradesh has now shifted south west towards UP. The system will lose its strength within around six hours and therefore there has been a decrease in the rain hammering activity. But there are chances of sporadic rainfall right now in the State,” said B. S. Yadav Meteorologist, IMD Bhopal.

During the last 24 hours in the State, he said it rained the most in Damoh where 27 mm of precipitation was recorded. Consequently there will be two days of normal weather in the State but again a low-pressure system has formed in the Bay of Bengal. “This system will then move towards the State in the next two days, hence there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in eastern Madhya Pradesh again after September 15. This system will then move towards Central MP in the next couple of days and will cover the entire State in due course,” he added.

As of now, the yellow code for impact of excellent rains remains in the Gwalior Chambal division as a measure of precaution although its possibility is less. Monsoon was state even in the month of July. Bhind, Morena, and Gwalior only will be under the alert, as a meteorologist said There will be sunny weather in the State and a few sporadic rains.

“Concerning the area which has received maximum rainfall in the State, it is Shivpur kala which up to date has exceeded the normal rainfall by 103 percent while in the state of Madhya Pradesh it has averaged 17 percent more rainfall than normal,” he added.

Speaking with regards to the weather conditions in Bhopal, the Meteorologist further added that Bhopal has recorded 50 more percent rainfall than it ought to have. The temperature will increase in day time while night temperature will drop in the city.
