New Delhi: Strongly criticizing the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday, Ananda Bose asked the governor to resign or explain himself about the charges of obscenity and urged him not to go against her.
The chief minister announced at a poll rally in support of TMC’s Hooghly candidate Rachana Banerjee that she will not contest these elections as long as Bose remains Governor Raj Bhawan.
“The governor said ‘didigiri’ (high-handedness) will not be tolerated… But, I say Mr. Governor, your ‘dadagiri’ will no longer work,” the TMC supremo said.
Banerjee emphasized that Bose has to clarify his position and show why he should not step down in light of the very serious complaints made against him.
The complaint was lodged by a woman contract worker in Raj Bhavan who claimed that Bose had sexually assaulted her twice on April 24th and May 2nd inside the Governor’s residence.
Bose responded by showing multiple CCTV footages from Raj Bhavan on May ninth.
However, this edited video was released by the governor and watched its whole content which shocked me for releasing it. She also pointed out another video which further weakened his position.
“I won’t go to Parliament until he becomes governor… I would rather see him in jail,” she stated.
