On Friday, Congress presented a memorandum to the governor of Haryana demanding that the “minority” BJP government in Haryana be dissolved.
A senior congress leader, BB Batra, the CLP Chief Whip together with Aftab Ahmed, the Deputy Leader of CLP handed over a memorandum on political situation to Governor Bandaru Dattatreya of Haryana state.
Earlier this week, three independents withdrew their support for the Nayab Singh Saini government in Haryana. In parliament, according to Congress party, ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has ended up as a minority.
They gave it to the secretary of the governor,” said Batra. However Sahab is now at Telangana on duty. The JJP and Bharatiya Janata Party (INLD) have asked for a floor test in House.
Bharatiya Janata Party has 40 MLAs who are members of parliament while Congress has 30 and Janata Party has 10.I NLD and Haryana BJP have one member each. We have six independent MLAs.
Hence there are 90 members in the current house while effective strength is 88.Karnal and Rania assembly seats are vacant. Thus Batra argued that we want President’s rule imposed by dissolving this kind of “minority” government in our state.
“This (Nayab Singh Saini) government must not continue as it is already a minority,” he appealed to Governor as he urged him to dissolve the Assembly. He also warned that if it fails; we will convene parliamentary session instead ask Government to seek vote of confidence.

Independent MPs Sombir Sangwan (Dadri), Randhir Singh Gollen (Pundri) and Dharampal Gonder (Nilokheri) on Tuesday withdrew their support to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Haryana and announced that they would support the Congress party.
Subsequently, the opposition says that it has also reduced government into minority numbers in state parliament.
Chief Minister Saini however insists that his government is not in trouble.
Earlier JJP leader Dushyant Chautala had also written to Haryana governor stating that Saini government was no longer having majority and sought immediate ground testing. The INLD are also looking to perform ground tests during rallies.
Sushil Gupta, president of Aam Aadmi Party state unit said AAP has called upon the governor dissolve “minority” Saini’s rule and conduct fresh polls. Government is supported by two independent MPs and High people’s party member Gopal Kanda.
