Trick or steal: Women caught on camera stealing Halloween candies, decorations in Canada

As October filled the North American continent with Halloween festivities an unusual event overshadowed the joy of the festival. A woman in Canada was spotted stealing candies from houses meant for kids.
The woman was dressed in an Indian Salwar suit and was spotted moving from door to door in the Cornell locality of Markham, Ontario. She was caught on the bell cam, swiping sweets and emptying out the bowls of trick-and-treaters.
The Halloween night incident, captured on video, quickly went viral on social media. Harrison Faulkner, host of ‘The Faulkner Show,’ shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter), with the caption, “Trick or Steal spotted in Markham, Ontario last night. What is going on?”

The post has since amassed over 774.2 K views, sparking a wave of comments and reactions. One user on X wrote, “Hey, non-canadians , this is not what we mean by Canada being a “free” country.” Another added, “Deporting is the only option”

Another quipped, “She just wants some lights for Diwali. Give her a chance.”

In another incident, American country musician Cody Tate called out a woman for taking candy intended for kids from outside his home. He posted security footage on Instagram on Tuesday, showing a group raiding a large basket filled with treats.
The video begins with three adults, followed by several kids, rushing up to the house and emptying a large black basket of candy, piece by piece. At one point, a woman in a black hoodie even smiles into the camera while stuffing candy into her coat pockets.
“And this is why you can’t trust people. If you know who it is share. I figured it would happen but not adults. Now all the kids after these people can’t have any candy,” Tate captioned the clip.
