The BJP central leadership has confirmed that the padayatra from Bengaluru to Mysuru will commence as scheduled on August 3, under the joint leadership of Union Minister and JD(S) State President H. D. Kumaraswamy and BJP State President B. Y. Vijayendra.
Because of Mr. Kumaraswamy’s concerns regarding how the padayatra was organized, BJP leaders have argued that any “communication gap” with the JD(S) boss in discussion were allayed through a conversation involving Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, Pralhad Joshi (Union Minister), and B.Y.Vijayendra (State President).
The mission is meant to sensitize people against what they say are anomalies in Maharshi Valmiki ST Development Corporation, site allotment by Mysore Urban Development Authority and misuse of funds for SC & ST welfare purposes.
