Gujarat Elections 2024 Live Updates: As the third phase of Lok Sabha elections is scheduled to take place on May 7, voting in 25 constituencies in the state will begin at 7 am and is expected to continue till 5 pm.
In the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections, voting will be held in 94 constituencies covering 10 states and 1 Union Territory.
The constituencies in Gujarat that will go to polls include Kutch, Banaskantha, Patan, Mahsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad East, Ahmedabad West, Surun Dera Nagar, Rajkot, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhav Nagar, Anand, Kheda, Panchmahal, Daho Germany, Vadodara, Chhota Udaipur, Bharuch, Bardoli, Navsari and Valsad.
Of the 26 constituencies in the state, 25 will go to polls in Surat constituency. After the Congress party’s nomination papers were rejected and other candidates withdrew from the race, the BJP candidate Mukesh Dalal Surat constituency won uncontested.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah will vote in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. According to reports, Prime Minister Modi is expected to arrive at 7:30 am and Shah will cast his vote around 9 am. Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena is also expected to vote.
