Govinda, who has been lauded for his comic skills, was injured by a gunshot early Tuesday and has been admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai.

Discussing the incident in the frame of it his manager Shashi Sinha said, Govinda was preparing to move out of Kolkata. While he was putting his licensed revolver back in the case, he dropped it, which inadvertently went off striking his leg.” And to his fans’ comfort, Sinha made it clear than the actor was recovering well. “The bullet has been taken out, and everything is OK. Now he is in the hospital,” he further said.
At the same time, we learn, this scene excited an aftermath of some legal action as well. Some internet news outlets state that the police came on the crime scene with an investigation and they will be confiscating the revolver.
For the unversed, Govinda was one of the most loved stars from the 80s and 90s. He featured in numerous comedy entertainers such as Hero No. 1, Coolie No. 1, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Raja Babu, Saajan Chale Sasural and so many others.
