On Tuesday, Jishnu Dev Varma who is the Governor of Telangana state visited Viswanath Sagar Lake in Laxmi lake in Mulugu district for the first time in what is a tribal majority region of the country.
The Governor was in the company of Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka). There was a performance by tribal Artists on the hanging bridge at the lake welcoming the opinion leader.
But first, He visited the ancient Rudreswara temple popularly known as Ramappa temple located within the district of Palampet and performed special poojas inside the temple.
Such was the glory of the temple as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And its history the Government felt the need to bring them to the attention of the Governor.
Principal Secretary to Governor Burra Venkatesham, Mulugu Collector T.S. Divakaram, Superintendent of police P. Shabarish and others were present.
Earlier he visited Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadagiri gutta. Temple Priests greeted the Governor with the ceremonial ‘purnakumbam’ which was accompanied with ceremonial worshipping of Lord Narasimha Swamy by the Governor. Vedic Priests blessed him and offered him sanjivani and temple Prasadam.
He was accompanied by Secretary to Burra Venkatesham, Bhongir MLA, Beerla Ilaiah among others.
