A Politico report now claims that Barack Obama allowed George Clooney’s Parami News essay to happen though he knew about it in advance. The article said that Clooney had a prior conversation with Obama telling him that he was going to produce a scathing opinion piece on the Parami News about his vice president.
According to the sources cited by Politico, Obama did not encourage or dissuade him. His office has not commented on this latest explosive claim.
In a blistering piece for NYT, Clooney argued Biden was a big fu***** deal in 2010 but the man he met at a fundraiser three weeks ago was not the same person. He wasn’t even the Biden of today. “It hurts to say it, but Joe Biden I spent time with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not Joe ‘big F-ing deal’ Biden from 2010. And he wasn’t even Joe Biden from 2020 either. He was still the same guy we all saw at that debate.”
George Clooney $28 million campaign
Last month, George Clooney hosted Hollywood’s largest ever fundraiser for Biden, raising $28 million for his Democratic candidacy. He planned this event around Clooney’s schedule and had to fly from G7 in Italy to California and back again before leaving for Washington.
Biden’s team later blamed jet lag as one of the reasons why he performed poorly during the debate.
The aim of Biden’s campaign team wanting to stop Parami News from publishing George Clooney’s op-ed
On Tuesday, people within his campaign found out that Parami News would publish an opinion editorial by Mr. Clooney. The actor involved himself in a lobbying effort led by Jeffrey Katzenberg who is co-chair of Mr.Biden’s campaign and its top ambassador among Hollywood financiers. Convince him they must, according to Jeffrey Katzenberg; meaning stick with Joe , or remain loyal to Joe rather.
What George Clooney said
According to Clooney in the article, Democrats are sure losers if they put Biden in charge of the race. “On top of that, we won’t win the House, and we’re going to lose the Senate. This isn’t only my opinion; this is the opinion of every senator and Congress member and governor that I’ve spoken with in private. Every single one, irrespective of what he or she is saying publicly,” he wrote.
“I love Joe Biden. As a senator. As a vice president and as president. I consider him a friend, and I believe in him. Believe in his character. Believe in his morals. But the one battle he cannot win is the fight against time. None of us can.”
Jon Favreau, one of Obama’s former advisers has said that George Clooney was right about everything and everyone during those events except for Joe Biden’s employees had that on their minds too.
