At least 21 people were reportedly killed in an Israeli strike on a displacement camp west of the southern city of Rafah on Tuesday, according to Gaza’s civil defence agency. The attack came just days after a similar strike that drew global condemnation.
In an “occupation strike targeting the tents of displaced people west of Rafah,” said Mohammad al-Mughayyir, a senior official at the agency.
Hamas has stated that dozens have been martyred and wounded from the Israeli’s missile attack on this location.
Israel army requested for these coordinates when asked about what actually happened during this incident.
According to Palestinian officials, on Sunday 45 people were killed in Rafah when an Israeli rocket set fire to an over-crowded camp. This event sparked uproar worldwide.
A controversial offensive launched by Israel against Rafah earlier this month paid little attention to the safety of over 1.4 million Palestinians who had sought refuge in the city then.
On Tuesday, one million civilians ran out of the town, says UNRWA (UN Palestinian refugee agency).
Israeli forces also captured their part of Rafah border crossing with Egypt and Gaza Strip.
