Kunjibettu is the location where a gangland war was allegedly captured on camera one night in May, 18th on Udupi-Manipal NH 169A near Kunjibettu.
Udupi Town Police arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in a gangwar at Kunjibettu on Udupi-Manipal NH 169A during the night of May 18th.
According to police, the names of the accused are Ashiq and Raquib, who are said to be members of a Kaup called Garuda gang. Despite happening on May 18th, the police registered a case following circulation of video clip about it via social media.
The other persons involved in that incident have been sought by law enforcement agents after having recovered from those apprehended two cars and bikes as well as one dagger and one sword.
Both groups fought with sharp-edged instruments
At least five-six people from both vehicles were seen attacking each other’s cars with sharp weapons while one person was seen being knocked down by a driver amongst them in a video recording which went viral on social media.
The Udupi town Police have registered an FIR and are investigating into the case.
