Loran Cole was sentenced to death on Thursday at Florida State Prison for murdering a college freshman and later raping his sister in 1994. Later, the authorities came up with the corpse of the boy, faced downside up on the ground of the woods after the search was conducted.
Recently the brother’s funeral was also held on the territory of the reserve, where authorities were later looking for his body which had been found face downward.
Defence arguments and appeals
During proceedings following indictment ex parte the defence team of Cole requested a stay arguing he had lived through the atrocities of the government-financed children’s reformatory where he was said to have endures several sexual assaults. Apologies for the maltreatment were followed by an enactment offering recompense to surviving ex-members of the now-defunct establishment.
