Mayor M. Anil Kumar has unveiled floating wetlands aimed at eliminating water pollution along the Thevara-Perandoor canal.
Kochi Corporation launched a floating treatment wetland, an artificial platform with aquatic emerging plants on top of it.
The platforms are utilized for bioremediation as a way of absorbing and removing contaminants and nutrients from the water. It was launched near Panampilly Nagar walkway in the canal.
This facility was launched by Mayor M. Anilkumar.
