The fire-fighting operation of the sites of a commercial building in Mumbai deputy municipal commissioner officials was obviously told that the operations continue two hours after a Scarlet blaze broke out there yesterday (September 6, 2024) morning.
The disputes concerning the five-storey glass facade of the ground basement and 14th upper commercial structure are over.
The officials spoke to reporters about the incident and said there were no reports of any injury to anyone in the fire that broke out at around 6:30 a.m. in the Times Tower building located at Kamala Mills Compound in Lower Parel.
At first, the authorities have stated that this commercial building contained seven floors. After that the authorities have amended them stating that it is a fourteen storey building.
The commercial building was exceptionally hot and he said that firefighters used chisel and hammer to break the locks on the door and gain entrance into the building in order to put out the fire.
An official had earlier said approximately eight fire engines and other fire fighting vehilces were sent to the spot.
The Kamala Mills complex which has faced several major fires is bordering the Parkside residential apartment.
Parkside inhabitants remarked that it was a “quite terrifying sight” to see smoke and fire close to their walls.
As per the residents, it was the rush of their security personnel who tried to put out the fire even with the means of the building fire equipment INST on the building.
‘We all got our hose pipes out and got to doing what we could minus the fire brigade coming in,’ one resident said.
