On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, a delegation of farmer leaders from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka visited Parliament House complex to meet Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and talked to him about the challenges faced by peasants.
Also present in the meeting were Congress general secretary K.C. Venugopal, former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring and Congress leaders Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Gurjeet Singh Aujla, Dharamvir Gandhi, Amar Singh, Deepender Singh Hooda, Jai Prakash.
Of this delegation that met Rahul Gandhi at the parliament house complex on Wednesday 24th July;2016; there were twelve farmers from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka respectively.
