It has come to light that mega star Amitabh Bachchan has got associated with Swiggy.
According to a report published by Economic Times on August 28, the family office of Amitabh Bachchan has picked up a small stake in Swiggy. This report pursues that his office acquired those shares previously owned by the employees and early investors of the food delivery and quick commerce firm. Of course, there is no information given about the precisions regarding the numbers.
Apart from movies, Amitabh Bachchan is one of those actors who is good at investment. Back in October, 2013, The Times of India covered a story that within four months after Big B invested in Just Dial, the value of the stocks went up by over 10,190%. Consequently, the worth of his share rose up from Rs 6.27 lakh investment to Rs 6.45 crore.
In an article that appeared in The Economic Times in 2022, it was reported that Amitabh’s long-term perspective of investing in a smallcap stock is paying off where the price of the share of DP Wires which was listed in the Ndian NSE-SME went up by fivefold in 2017. The story further stated that in the past, Big B also used to dispose of the stocks of Fineotex, Birla Pacific Medspa and Neuland Labs.
Amitabh Bachchan was also in the news lately for having bought apartments worth Rs 7 crores from Incline’m a subsidiary of Oberoi Realty again. This created a stir in the real estate scene in Mumbai as it’s not common for a celebrity to purchase a house on a suburban area of Borivali which is far away from posh localities like Bandra, Andheri, Juhu and the likes.
At the same time, he also purchased three office units which are spread on three floors in Oshiwara. A few months prior to this transaction, Amitabh Bachchan had purchased land in Alibaug where he intended to put up a sea view luxury villa for close to Rs. 10 crores.
