Recently, Vicky Kaushal released Bad Newz featuring himself along with Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. He was commended for his comic role that exuded immense energy. Vicky will be next seen in Laxman Utekar’s ambitious historical project Chhava where he plays the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The character of his wife Yesubai will be portrayed by Rashmika Mandanna.
Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was a Maratha leader and son of the illustrious emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It is why they had to put some Marathi touch on their dialogues. To do so, four weeks were spent on training Vicky and Rashmika to grasp Marathi diction.
A source close to the production told Bollywood Hungama this secret, which says “both Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna specifically learnt the Marathi language. Along with its pronunciation properly for four weeks because of their characters in Chhava.” According to him, “The makers were not willing to take any chance on making sure that it looked authentic on screen.”
In addition to working on Chhava, Rashmika is also set to feature in Pushpa 2: The Rule which is highly anticipated. Allu Arjun starred in this film as well which makes it a second movie installment after the successful Pushpa: The Rise.
