This month’s block buster; the release of Chandu Champion is scheduled for today. The film stars Kartik Aaryan and it is based on the life of Murlikant Petkar. The trailer gave a sneak-peek into the cast with Bhagyashri Borse in a small role as the romantic interest of the protagonist. But, it also has one surprise character which was kept under wraps by its makers.
It has been revealed that Shreyas Talpade is also part of this movie. Here we can see him playing a cop in his second appearance. His character matters to the story completely and he plays an important role in taking it forward as well. Moreover, he makes us laugh too.
Interestingly enough, Shreyas has had at least one release every month beginning from March till date this year. Hi Anokhi Gaath, his new Marathi writing co-authored by Mahesh Manjrekar released on 1st March, then Luv You Shankar, a part animated kiddie flick hit cinemas on April 19th and Kartam Bhugtam directed by Soham Shah who helmed Kaal (2005) came out on May 17th.
The actor was also in news last year when unexpectedly suffered a heart attack. He will next be seen playing former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Kangana Ranaut’s political drama Emergency will be followed by another multi-starrer comic caper Welcome To The Jungle which has already been set for Christmas 2024 release. He also has Kapkapiii ,a horror comedy directed by recently deceased Sangeeth Sivan .Tusshar Kapoor also features in the movie. Few others are releasing this year along with these films ultimately adding up to record seven to eight releases for Shreyas Talpade in 2024.
However, besides Shreyas Talpade there is also a special appearance by the charming and talented actress, Sonali Kulkarni. Kabir Khan has directed it and it is being backed by Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
