The entertaining and famous Baadshah (1999) movie was celebrated for its Silver Jubilee on August 27, 2014. This film with Shah Rukh Khan also has great recall value usage and makes money on satellite. Today, it is often witnessed that series of even more than two-decade-old films are being made. The reason was the success that Gadar 2 (2023) achieved just as Gadar (2001). Border 2 is also in production, and it is already expected to be one of the most reha b-led-awaited motion pictures. On the 25th anniversary of Baadshah, Bollywood Hungama spoke exclusively to Ratan Jain of Venus Records And Tapes Pvt Ltd regarding the sequel of Baadshah.

Ratan Jain replied, “I keep talking to Shah Rukh and we depend on what should we do next. But the first sequel that I would like to make with Shah Rukh is Baazigar 2 and after that Baadshah 2.”

For Khan, it was the 1st of many more films focused on his image as a captivating anti-hero; it also shaded on the hot dramatic romance that Venus shooter Abbas-Mustan were famed for. Baazigar was a huge feature which raised SRK’s image to another level. He also featured in Venus’ Yes Boss (1997) followed by Baadshah and then Josh (2000).

When asked if the makers have a plot ready for Baazigar’s sequel, Ratan Jain replied, “No, but we keep discussing about it. The day we get the right subject and director, we’ll make the sequel. And of course, it will be made only with Shah Rukh. And he has supported the idea. But as I said, we need to get the correct idea. The times are such that agar film karein, toh bahut acchi karein. Nahin toh na karein.”

As per the reports a few days back, Kapil Sharma and Venus would return with the sequel of Kapil’s debut film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon (2015). Ratan Jain confirmed that the second part of the comic caper is being made. He said, “There are some films in the pipeline. We are planning a sequel to Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. That hopefully should go on floors soon. We are in talks with Akshay Kumar.”
