Bollywood film No Entry featuring Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, Bipasha Basu, and Celina Jaitly is a romantic comedy which was received well by audiences for its situational comedy that Anaes Bazmee is good at. Producer Boney Kapoor and the director have been waiting for this while the excitement for the same is worth it and is well understood. However, even though there has been an announcement to go ahead with the sequel, it is still in pre production as casting has yet been completed. Sticking to some of the confusion on the casting, Fardeen has come clear to Bollywood Hungama that it is rather in the making but has emphasized that there is a different case with the star cast.
Many fans priceless anticipation to see Fardeen Khan reunited with Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Fardeen Khan over the big screen till Fardeen Khan has stressed that the franchise is still alive but rather they are interested in pursuing the franchise in a different direction. “Gosh! But we are not in it, I think it has been announced. It has a brand new cast”. He shrugged to Bollywood Hungama. “If you want to know about that then you should call Boney Kapoor for this,” he added further.
At this point, while the interaction was ongoing, Fardeen Khan also recounted his experience of filming the movie No Entry which is about 19 years now. “As an actor, I was trying out something that I have never ever done before and that was all out comedy and the kind of role in which I had to be a little silly, a little funny, a leechi goofy character who is not wise at all who’s also extremely gullible and dim-witted. It was something very different from the way i had viewed myself. It really freed me up because I needed to free myself. I was a little reluctant performing that but it was thanks to Boney Kapoor’s faith in me. He had seen me perform a few of such scenes in Khushi and said ‘Fardeen you are fit to do this.’ And I was like, ‘Seriously?’. This is Charlie Chaplin’s remake (2002), And I’m not the lead role but rather, a role originally played by Prabhu Deva. Naturally, I looked at it in a million ways though.
He went on to add, “Boney also assembled a wonderful cast, starting with Anees Bazmee who is the master in this type of films. There is so much you can do out of the manner he has crafted his thoughts and the dialogues he gives you. I know a few scenes you know we just cannot do them without bursting out the laughter. And then you also have actors like Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan and even those actors who has made that character to the core. Everything got in sync is wonderful. The ladies also did their job and they had a lot of fun doing what they did. I can’t say that happens too often because I think that comedy is the most difficult genre I mean not only from the acting angle but even from the writing angle because you can’t make people laugh. You know laughing is a reaction that is instant. I have fond memories of working on No Entry and it was a very good experience for me.”
Interestingly, No Entry 2 remains the current ailment in sight. Although many actor’s names have been tossed around, there has been no official announcement about any of them as of now.
