Volunteers from Aamir Khan’s Paani Foundation, together with Rainmatter Foundation by Zerodha and Mahaveer Jain joined their hands on a current need of the society campaign called #Stop. The call to action of one minute video is made by Sanjeev.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama exclusively, Sanjeev disclosed the themes of the short film which have a nature’s cause as the backdrop “The short is about destruction of nature at the hands of humans. The visuals take creative liberty of their own. The felling of trees causing a chain reaction, deforestation gives rise to landslides. Change of climate and pollution caused an avalanche. The reddish rivers and the waterfalls are fresh water turned into oil and finally, tsunamis that break the ice shelves. The concept is to show global warming in action, the last surviving land drowning in blood water.”
Sanjeev further added that “The film has a sound track amplifying the shrill wails of Mother Nature, and that’s the only voice that can be heard. The film ends with just one word – a hashtag – #stop.”
Finally, this insightful video was also posted on the Facebook page of Mahaveer Jain Films that was today, September 6. It is also a venture of Mahaveer Jain Films.
