The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) says dry conditions are expected to prevail over Telangana until May 30th while maximum temperature likely will increase steadily by 2° C to 3° C over the next three days.
As in the case of last year when a heavy downpour brought us some comfort, for the few recent days there has been hot weather. According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, on Tuesday the highest maximum temperature was 44.8° C noted at Arli (Adilabad), followed by Jambuga (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad) where it reached 44.3° C, Kubeer (Nirmal) which recorded 43.6° C and Bichkunda (Kamareddy) with a maximum temperature of 43.4° C.
Regarding Hyderabad and vicinity, during the next two days both day and night temperatures would be around 40° C and 28° C respectively. The IMD is forecasting temperatures within rest of state as ranging from 41°C to 44 °C till May 31st.
