Former US president Donald Trump has refuted the claims that his visit to Arlington National Cemetery was politically motivated and maintains that it is unnecessary.
At a rally in Pennsylvania on Friday, the former US president remarked, “I don’t require advertising. I receive a lot of advertising and therefore, would prefer that a lot of advertising is not received … I would hire a Public relations s agent to pay less advertising.
This is in connection to the allegation made that part of the Donald Trump campaign management were changing the intended purpose of the event which was to honor US service men who died serving in Afghanistan to a campaign photo shoot for the Republican presidential candidate.
Two of those campaign workers were said to have ignored a cemetery representative who had informed them that it was prohibited to photograph and video new graves, as the Guardian reported.
There was a ‘thumbs up’ picture taken of Donald trump in the company of family members on the graves of 13 US servicemen and women who died in a suicide blast during the emergency evacuation of Afghanistan during the span of the US in the year 2021 in a harsh manner. Somewhere in Johnstown Pennsylvania at one of the rallies, trump stressed that the only time he ever took pictures was when it was at the request of the families, they however had no power to grant permission for what were really campaign photographs.
‘Those families that asked me to be there, I said the same during a campaign rally on Tuesday in Michigan, so I went. And at that moment came – guys, can you take a picture of the grave of my son, my sister, my brother? Can I take pictures with you, the head says, I did it. Most say Yes I did,’ the Daily Mail quoted him.
He was forced to claim that youngest individuals had been killed by BO since he was called as incompetent and afterwards they will spread fake news that BO made use of the graves for promotion.
The families of those who invited the ex-president to the cemetery support him, but the families of those who died in the line of duty have lambasted Donald Trump for putting out pictures of and videos over social media of the burial on his campaign accounts.
