Elon Musk teased on Monday, “Guaranteed entertainment!” as he announced an unscripted interview with the 45th US President and current Republican candidate, Donald Trump, to take place tonight.
Musk said that in a series of posts on X, previously known as Twitter, he will be executing “system scaling tests” ahead of time for this occasion. The interview is set to hold on Monday night August 12th and streamed live.
“Am going to do some system scaling tests tonight & tomorrow in advance of the conversation with Trump,” Musk shared on X. This highly anticipated interview will be held next week; Monday night- August 12,2024.
“This is unscripted with no limits on subject matter so should be highly entertaining! If you have specific questions & comments post them under the chat,” wrote Musk hinting at an unstructured and all-encompassing talk.
For his part Elon Musk has been a divisive proponent of Donald Trump’s campaign. As the United States presidential elections near it was rumored that he would contribute $45 million per month to a Super PAC backing Trump’s campaign. All these reports have however been rubbished by Musk himself.
After acquiring X, an account which had been barred after the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021 was reinstated by musk for Trump. Even after this reactivation though trump seems more active in his own media platform truth social owned by trump media.
Time and location
It is scheduled for a one-on-one interview between Elon Musk and Donald Trump to happen on Monday August 12 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time (8 p.m. Eastern Time) and Tuesday morning at 5:30 am in India.
The format of being unscripted should make this interview very dynamic and unpredictable although there remains little information about its content so far.
Online excitement
Social media users are excited that they will soon be participating in the forthcoming interview.
“If you think there was ever an interview that could break the internet, wait for this,” wrote one user. Another one added, “I am so excited! Trump and Musk are doing more than anyone else to save America.”
Kamala Harris will not do that either; a third user stated.
