Recently, actor Somy Ali came in the news when she made certain allegations against the famous singer, Sonu Nigam. Ali posted on Instagram a big story in which she accused Nigam of being deceitful towards her and even making her label him as a sociopath. The video message was long and it was directed at the audience explaining Ali’s feelings and how things went wrong for her.
Somy Ali’s Allegations Against Sonu Nigam
Somzy Ali in her post stated that she was bitterly disappointed after learning how the infamous Sonu Nigam allegedly deceived her. How she initially was a fan of the singer but later grew to know better of him over time. Addressing the singer herself, she says, ‘This is what people are and how they take advantage of you. @sonunigamofficial… I am shell shocked is and would be an understatement. In this light, Ali further noted how she became mistrustful of Nigam when she took him at his word.
“Last warning, this man here who has played me is Sonu Nigam. Beware. He loves shooting videos… These kinds of people are sociopaths.” This is how Ali ended her post. And that is how her feeling of betrayal came.
A Video Message to Her Fans
In the additional video message shared by Ali, the events that stemmed her allegations were also expounded. She remembered throwing an invitation to Sonu Nigam for her talk show when the show was just getting a kick start. In her opinion, Nigam took part without earning any money in return, but subsequently, declined to work with her when she attempted to provide him with a promising offer.
“I made a small talk show. He shared all his wisdom, and I was just feeling consume in everything he was saying in a good way. I actually thought he is the kind of person who stands by whatever it is that he is teaching,” Ali recounted. She, however, claimed that he had ulterior motives to his involvement, which she believed had some connections to a former relationship of hers.
A Missed Opportunity and Broken Trust
Ali claims that there is something like an offer from her supplied international project to Nigam but he did not bother to respond to numerous attempts to reach out to him. She explained, “It was a big opportunity, it was a BBC documentary or something to do with Discovery, he refused to communicate with me.”
She went on to say that having made such attempts in different languages enabled her, Nigam did not respond. This incident left her disillusioned in trust and deep-seated frustration, everything made her self-examine the type of individual she had put confidences in.
Ali closed her video through telling of what the entire situation has taught her. She advised her followers to eliminate even those people who have such kinds of behaviors and do not blame themselves if they are used in that way. “This is a reflection of their character, that how they’re behaving towards you and then that person all of a sudden is a chameleon,’ she told when asked how other countries actually managed to treat their women.
To conclude, Ali reiterated that this was a hard lesson learnt although she wished it would be a lesson to her followers, in learning how to put boundaries and not be subjected to manipulation. Nonetheless, the allegations have not been addressed by or in response to Sonu Nigam, at this time.
