Dhvani Bhanushali will have her headlining performance at United Nations Environment Concert
On June 8, 2024, the Indian pop singer Dhvani Bhanushali is scheduled to headline a concert in celebration of World Environment Day. It aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainability and to be held at the Amphitheatre in Bandra in suburban Mumbai.
This performance is meant to support role of Dhvani as goodwill brand ambassador for Bhamla Foundation’s latest initiative #BhoomiNamaskarin partnership with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Ministry Of Environment, Forest And Climate Change (MoEFCC)
In response to this offer, Dhvani Bhanushali stated that “I am extremely grateful that Bhamla Foundation has allowed me this chance on World Environment Day. The global problems are real; they demand our collective involvement. This Earth is all we have – there’s no backup plan. The environment is a cause I deeply care about and I think music can be used as a tool for change Remember, every small step counts. This World Environment Day, let’s all strive for a sustainable lifestyle. Be mindful of the resources we consume and develop empathy for our planet and all the incredible species we share it with.”
The Bhamla Foundation focuses on environmental conservation and education. They work towards saving the earth by supporting sustainable practices such as promoting environmental awareness among others thereby educating people about why it matters.
According to Asif Bhamla; “We are glad to have Dhvani Bhanushali joining us for our World Environment Day concert. Her relatability with Gen Z audience will help us reach out to young population and spread our message of eco-consciousness.”
The event will see the musician take centre stage performing some of her biggest hits including ‘Thank You God’ ‘Vaaste’ ‘Leja Re’ and ‘Heal The World’ in addition to a special environmental themed song.
#BhoomiNamaskar which translates to Salutation To Mother Earth, underlines the significance of ecosystem restoration for a sustainable future amid climate change. Numerous goodwill ambassadors such as Abhishek Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, Jackie Shroff, Malaika Arora, Shekhar Ravjiani, Sobhita Dhulipala, R Balki and Shreya Ghoshal have endorsed this campaign as they will assist in raising awareness on collective responsibility towards conservation of the environment.
