In a recent twist of fate, Payal Malik responded to the remarks of Rakhi Sawant on Armaan Malik and his idea of marriage and is now onto another commenter who spoke against the multiple wives of the Maliks- Devoleena Bhattacharjee. Since they entered the Bigg Boss house, this saathiya serial actress has been expressing her dislike for polygamy in reality shows and now Payal decided to slam former contestant from Bigg Boss. However, even Devoleena didn’t keep quiet but blasted Malik saying that comparing interfaith marriage with polygamy is naïve.
What did Payal Malik say about Devoleena’s comments on her marriage?
Payal hit back at Devoleena’s comments about her relationship with Armaan and still Kritika his second wife and best friend by pointing out that as did devoleenabhattacharjee she was also trolled for marrying a Muslim because it was an interfaith wedding. “Sabse pehle aap yeh dekhiye aap kitne criticise hue hai aapki shaadi ko leke. Jab apne ek Muslim guy se shaadi kari thi toh aapne bhi trolling ka saamna kiya tha. Main yhi kehna chahti hu, jab hum aapke life ke baare mein kuch nahi bol rahe toh aap bhi right nahi rakhte ho hamare relation ke baare mein bolne ke liye. (Firstly, let me remind you how much you were criticized for your marriage. When you got married to a Muslim guy, you too had to bear the brunt of trolls, didn’t you? What I am trying to say is that when we did not comment on your life, you have no right to comment on mine or my relations with anyone)”.
Devoleena Bhattacharjee comes back with another lengthy note.
The conversation was later extended by the Ex-Bigg Boss contestant when she replied saying that she cannot equate polygamy to interfaith marriage because they are completely different things. In her writing, she went on: “A higher level of knowledge is needed to compare an interfaith marriage with POLYGAMY which I believe intelligent people know about. And not only me but every Indian has a right to stand up against such an illegal activity like POLYGAMY which they are so proud of displaying on national television.”
“Just let it be a matter of personal destiny either way. But please don’t take this lightly and make fun in the life of those poor women who suffer every day and night because of it and slowly die inside them daily. Otherwise do whatever you want inside your home. Why stop at two? Have 2, 4 or even 5 marriages if you would like as many as possible. But just don’t infect society with this disease.
