Police said an FIR has been lodged by a woman against G Devaraje Gowda, a BJP leader from Hassan who had written to the saffron party leadership to report Prajwal Prajwal before the formation of JD(S) alliance on April 1. It is suspected that Prajwal Revanna sexually abused multiple women.
The FIR was registered against advocate Devaraje Gowda on April 1 but only came to light recently when he filed a complaint on the same matter involving Prajwal Revanna.
Devaraje Gowda had informed the BJP last year about how Prajwal Revanna had allegedly raped some women and advised them not to vote for him in May next year as this would be detrimental to their party since it was in an alliance with JD(S) in Karnataka.
Prajwal Revanna is going for Lok Sabha polls from Hassan constituency as the BJP-JD(S) candidate. He is also the grandson of JD(S) patriarch HD Devegowda, former Prime Minister of India.
The JD(S) and BJP joined forces last year.

A complaint was filed by a thirty-six-year-old woman from Hassan District, accusing Devaraje Gowda of molesting her while pretending to help her sell property which she owns.
The BJP boss could not be reached for any comments.
