New Delhi:A delhi court granted bail Three defendants in emergency room money laundering Cases against Chinese smartphone companies in vivo.
Additional Sessions Judge Kiran Gupta, in an order issued on May 1, granted relief to Bhupinder Kaur, Gagandeep Singh and Weigang Wang, saying there was no allegation that they were non-cooperative during the investigation. No one was arrested. The three appeared before the court to answer summons to receive the ED chargesheet in the case.
Senior advocate PK Dubey of Wang, who lives in Andhra Pradesh, told the court that the investigation had been completed and there was no point in sending the accused to judicial custody.
The ED opposed the bail application, saying the accused could escape and the charges against them were serious.
The case involves Vivo and its affiliates suspected of money laundering and tax evasion.
