A court in Thane, Maharashtra, on Saturday announced the hearing in the defamation case filed against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, with a deadline of June 29.
When the matter was heard before the Bhiwandi Magistrate Court during the day, a plea was sought for adjournment on the ground that the writ petition filed by the applicant was pending before the High Court and no order had yet been issued.
Iyer said that after hearing the opinions of both parties, the judge referred the matter to a hearing on June 29.
